Speakeasy meeting

Speakeasy Toastmasters met on April 12th. Toastmaster for the night was Vivienne Buckley while Tony O’ Regan was Topicsmaster. Mary Buckley was General Evaluator. The first speech was delivered by Marie Corbett, a visitor from the Galtee Toastmaster Club. Marie’s speech, which was delivered as stage 9 speech from the Basic Manual, described the recent development and the level of regulation within the child care system. Following Marie was Sean Corcoran, who gave a humorous view of dining etiquette, in a project from the entertaining speaker manual.
The next speaker was Angela Sheehan who told a story which illustrated how personal happiness can be achieved through living in the present moment. This speech fulfilled a stage from the Storytelling manual. Finally, Jerry Mulcahy described his neighbours and native parish in West Limerick in a speech which was based on a stage from the Humorous Speeches manual.
Speakeasy Toastmasters will hold their next meeting at the Hibernian Hotel, Mallow on April 27th. Non-members are welcome to attend our meetings.
